Vision
To bring down the harmful effects of natural, climatic and man-made disasters to a tolerable level for the population; However, the poor and needy should be given priority in this work.

Mission
Transforming the overall risk mitigation activities in disaster management from the traditional disaster response and relief activities so that the loss of life and property is at a tolerable level for the population.
